This was our first ever offline event. In February 2017 we decided to move from a mere online presence to creating a platform for writers, composers, songwriters, performers creating original works in Indian languages. Our vision was a space for mutual appreciation and engagement of original works in various Indian languages which are otherwise ignored in favour of the largely dominant English language.

To this aim this first event was organized at Doodle Room in Hazra, Kolkata in an intimate setting. However, exceeding all expectations many responded. Over 35 poets and singer-songwriters participated sharing works in various Indian languages as diverse as Bengali, Hindi, Sylheti and Nepali. Besides the poetry slam and other performances, the event also had an art sale where various upcoming young artists exhibited and sold their work.
